The campaign:
In keeping with our theme of speaking out about unnecessary cosmetic surgery and, in particular, extreme makeover television shows, we have been collecting images ofÝwomen holding upÝsigns that read "I don't need cosmetic surgery because..." with each woman's reason.ÝWe are hoping to make hundreds of copies and post them all over San Francisco and other parts of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The women are fabulous examples of women who have learned to accept themselves and their bodies in the face of a culture that demands only a single beauty ideal.Ý
How you can help:
Donations: Donations are always much appreciated. We are seeking small or large donations to pay for 500 color copies. Any contribution will help our efforts! Donations are tax deductible and checks should be made out to About-Face/Agape Foundation and sent to About-Face, PO Box 77665, SF, CA 94107.
