		<description>I actually just had a discussion with one of my friends about this same point. She felt the way you did about Rebel’s character’s declaration. She thought she was reclaiming the narrative by calling out the reality. Still feels kind of stuffy to me, like we’ve heard that line before. I do agree with you that any sort of size snarking is not okay.</description>

But I want to say that, for me, the joke in Pitch Perfect that she introduces herself as &quot;Fat Amy&quot;, while yes being somewhat problematic, also reflects how the character is comfortable with herself. For me, she is saying &quot;well yes I am larger but that&#039;s fine and I accept that, so you can&#039;t go and tease me about it because you won&#039;t get me down about my weight&quot;. Also she comes back at them by saying &quot;skinny bitches&quot; so if we&#039;re going to argue against size jokes, then that has to be taken into consideration as well because the smaller women are also being discriminated for their weight.</description>
