		<description>In the eyes of a child, bigger means stronger and more powerful. End of story. Body image likely had nothing at all to do with the children&#039;s choice. Seems as if people simply want to make obesity acceptable regardless of the health of the children in question. Teach children to think for themselves and they will choose what they like. For example, my 6 year old daughter chooses telescopes and cars, barbies are boring.</description>

The pervasiveness of media messages on our youth and how they truly are coded into our identities from birth is really quite horrifying. It continues to make me aware of how important it is to educate our youth on positive body image and emphasizing overall health versus size. Thanks as always for using your voice.</description>
