I won't lie. I would like to have plastic surgery after I lose the weight I have. It's a long story to explain why, but one reason is that I'll have excess skin. I know I've been conditioned with ideas about beauty and its importance, but I accept it.

However, the interaction you described between the mother and her daughters appalls me. These girls will likely have low self-esteem and unrealistic ideas of how "perfect" they should look. It scares me. It's not just about the words, as horrible as they are, but the freaking out about a scratch and wanting to use makeup.
